From the French rêver, “to dream.” That spirit is woven through everything we make: gatherings meant to feel transportive, immersive, and quietly unforgettable.
How it beganBeyond four walls.
This dream first took shape as Union Mercantile. But as we spent months exploring ideas, meeting incredible people, and listening to our community, something became clear: people weren’t looking for another destination within four walls. They were seeking something deeper. More intentional. More connected. Something that celebrates the land beneath our feet, the people who cultivate it, the stories that bring us together, and the magic that happens when we gather with purpose.
And so, The Wild Reverie was born.

The Wild Reverie was founded by Nicole Mata, owner and creative director of Delamata Designs, a studio focused on thoughtful design and immersive experiences.
Over more than twenty years designing, planning, and producing events throughout the New York area, Nicole built a career rooted in hospitality, creativity, and intentional detail. After relocating to Manchester, Vermont, she was moved by the region’s natural beauty, agricultural richness, and creative community — and created The Wild Reverie to bring them together.

At the heart of The Wild Reverie is a deep connection to the people, places, and landscape that make Southern Vermont extraordinary. Through each gathering, we hope to support organizations doing meaningful work in our community—from protecting working lands and expanding food access to nurturing the arts, education, and the places that bring us together.
Through these partnerships, each Reverie becomes part of something larger—a celebration that not only brings people together, but gives back to the community that inspires it.
Our nonprofit partners will be announced alongside each gathering.
A portion of the proceeds from every gathering is donated to local charities and nonprofits across Southern Vermont.
